The professional level of the Contemporary Music Program bands has landed the groups on some of the world’s most important stages, including packed houses at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall and Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater, and tours in every major US city, Cuba, Germany, China, France, Italy, Sweden, Mexico, Canada, The Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Switzerland, England, Scotland, and more.
These tours and performances give our musicians once in a lifetime musical and cultural experiences that broaden their world view and grow their confidence.

At the conclusion of the performance season each year, every Experience and Premier band heads into a professional recording studio to lay down tracks and document their work. In addition to real-world studio experience, musicians leave with a portfolio of professional recordings to share with fans, friends, family, and college programs. Soundhouse bands have released several full-length albums that continue to receive national radio play.

Celebrity musicians from a variety of contemporary styles frequent our bands throughout the year to perform as guest artists, participate in festivals, record with our musicians, and present clinics.
Since 2005 our musicians have shared the stage with well over 200 guest artists including members of Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band, Toto, Journey, Tower of Power, Saturday Night Live Band, AC/DC, The Killers, and others. GRAMMY-winning jazz artists including Victor Wooten, Gordon Goodwin, Esperanza Spalding, Wynton Marsalis, Poncho Sanchez, and dozens more also regularly work with our musicians.
ROOKIE BANDS ¹
Beginner-Intermediate
Rookie Bands are the fastest way to jumpstart a young Artist into high gear!
Membership Includes:
- Directed by Soundhouse Certified and background checked producers, all of whom are working professional musicians

- NEW Weekly 120-minute rehearsal sessions

EXPERIENCE BANDS
Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of Soundhouse Artists work in Experience Bands to hone their craft both as musicians and performers.
Membership Includes:

Just starting out?
¹ For musicians with beginner-level experience on their instruments, Rookie Bands are available to develop and refine their skills to prepare them for the next step of being admitted to an Experience Band. Available instruments include bass guitar, drums, guitar, keys (a.k.a. piano), saxophone, trombone, trumpet, and vocals.
