Nick is a professional musician out of Northern Utah who actively performs in concerts, galas, weddings, and other events throughout the region. He has played with the Utah Opera and Utah Symphony, the Joe McQueen Quartet, the Utah Festival Opera, and his own and other various groups. In recent years, Nick has presented and performed at several festivals, including the UFG International Music Festival in Goiânia, Brazil.
Nick’s teaching experience comes from years of developing his own private studio and curriculum, teaching music major and non-music major courses at Utah State University, teaching private guitar lessons at Utah State University, and teaching guitar practicum at a residential treatment center for teenage boys with drug and behavioral problems. He studied guitar pedagogy, methods, and curriculum as part of both his bachelors and masters degrees in guitar performance at Utah State University.
While his professional emphasis is in jazz guitar, Nick enjoys performing and teaching a wide variety of genres, including rock, blues, and classical guitar. Nick continues to refine his pedagogical methods and curriculum to help his students succeed with balanced abilities in improvisation, accompaniment, solo guitar, arranging, and music theory.
