Christian Lucy started playing the piano at age 7, studying classical piano under Leslie Bishop. At the age of 14 he started his first rock band and began to delve into playing more contemporary styles of music. As a teenager he began studying jazz, pop, and arranging with Craig Kaelin and continues to study on his own, currently focusing on jazz.
Some of Christian’s notable accomplishments include sharing the stage with Aaron Gillespie of the post-hardcore band Underoath, as well as performing at the Stadium of Fire, World Parliament on Spirituality, and Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas in 2016. He plays multiple shows a month in multiple different bands including Show Me Island, Your Meteor, Aspen Grove, and Party Time Chumps. With them he plays several different styles, like ska, pop, math rock, progressive rock, and funk.
Christian also has 3 years of teaching experience, with students as young as 4 and as old as 40. He has taught students classical piano, notation reading, how to read lead sheets for contemporary music, and to accompany singers.
