Justin Adams teaches jazz piano, improvisation, and jazz ensemble at MSU Denver, and University of Colorado at Denver. He is currently the pianist and musical director for Lannie Garrett and performs regularly with the Justin Adams trio. He has worked with Wayne Newton, Joe Piscopo, Joan Rivers, Claudio Roditi, Candido Camaro, Anne Hampton Calloway, J.P. Torres, Steve Turre, Ron Miles, Conjunto Colores, Taylor Eigsti, and other highly acclaimed musicians. Notable performances include Jazz en Vercours Festival, the Juneau Jazz Festival, the 2001 Inaugural Ball, the Kentucky Derby, and the New Orleans New Years Eve Celebration. He earned his MM from Denver University, and a BA from MSU Denver. He specializes in teaching improvisation, theory, ear-training, and harmony in the idioms of jazz, blues, pop, rock, Latin music, and classical piano. He offers lessons for all instrumentalists and vocalists.
